Should Caramel Sauce Be Runny?

I always thought it should be kind of thickish, not runny like salad dressing. Tasted great for expiring 2 years ago anyway. And, as an added bonus, it disguises the taste of coffee ice cream!!

Hmmm, delicious and clears space in the cupboard? Sounds like a win-win!! I think I'll have some more.
