We're Posting This...

...even though it might get us into Trumbull!!!!!

We may never be invited over again, but this gem of a find needs to be exposed! If you can't read it, the expiration date is "Apr 23 06."

It's 2010.

It's cream cheese.

Looks like a bar of soap.

This went directly into the trash. Uber-expired dairy products are not to be trifled with.

Vintage Seeds Edition: Green Beans

You might think, like I did, that seed expiration dates are silly.  I refuse to remember that seeds expire, despite my previous attempts at growing old seeds.

So this year, I'm trying again with beans.  The seeds are only from 2006/2007.  I'm sure they will grow just fine but they are off to a rough start.  I planted two packets about 10 days ago, one of yellow and one of green beans.  See, they sprouted!!!!

I was very happy they sprouted until I looked nearby at the beans that were planted around the same time.  These seeds weren't expired.

I guess 4 year old seeds give deformed and stunted plants.  Curses!!  Foiled again....
