Vintage Seeds Edition: Green Beans
You might think, like I did, that seed expiration dates are silly. I refuse to remember that seeds expire, despite my previous attempts at growing old seeds.
So this year, I'm trying again with beans. The seeds are only from 2006/2007. I'm sure they will grow just fine but they are off to a rough start. I planted two packets about 10 days ago, one of yellow and one of green beans. See, they sprouted!!!!
I was very happy they sprouted until I looked nearby at the beans that were planted around the same time. These seeds weren't expired.
I guess 4 year old seeds give deformed and stunted plants. Curses!! Foiled again....
