February Advent Celebration

I found an old advent calendar on the bookcase the other day. It was the beginning of February and I thought it would be a good month for eating vintage chocolate treats. It was almost a year overdue (Best Before: 3/31/2009).

That obviously didn't stop me. I do have to say, though, they were pretty gross. That being said, these advent calendars have probably the worst chocolate in the world in them to begin with, so it wasn't exactly starting out as a quality product.

Hello Pumpkin

The pumpkin was chucked off the porch in December since we wouldn't stop posting pictures of it, but I can still see it sitting on the ground.  Especially now that the snow is gone.

 

It's almost gone and in a few months it will be nothing but a distant memory.  It's a good thing we don't live in Colorado where things don't decompose very quickly.
